Mr. Swift brings over three decades of design and production experience to his current occupation as a theatre consultant. Charles has been active in the entertainment industry as a designer, technical director, stage manager and stagehand throughout his career and earned his MFA in Scene and Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
           He has considerable experience with technical systems implementation and has traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad energizing, commissioning and servicing motorized rigging and lift systems for the cruise ship industry and land-based facilities.
           His range of experience in specifying, inspecting and operating manual and motorized stage equipment gives him a unique perspective on the development of this technology and how the industry can work together with end users to continue to maintain an outstanding safety record as this equipment is deployed in more and varied types of venues.
