Juhi Shareef joined Arup’s Sustainable Business Management team in June 2006. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a B.Com (Hons) degree in Business Studies. In her pre-Arup career, Juhi spent several years in New York, working as a film/video Producer and at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). She was interim Director of NYFA in London and has recent experience as a project manager on event and web 2.0 projects.
As a Consultant in Sustainable Management Juhi helped develop the British Standard on Sustainable Event Management (BS 8901), managing the in-depth stakeholder engagement process and the ‘virtual’ trialling of BS 8901 at Live Earth UK.
Juhi’s primary interest is sustainability in the creative industries. She has recently measured the carbon footprint of the 60,000 person Concert for Diana, for communications client Global Cool and is on the Mayor of London’s Steering Group to reduce carbon emissions for the theatre sector.
