Alexis Kurtz

Alexis Kurtz is a Senior Consultant with Arup Acoustics in New York. Graduating from the University of Miami, she earned a degree in Music Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering, while performing in, live-mixing, and recording concerts throughout Miami and the Metro-Dade area. In her consulting career, among her diverse portfolio of acoustic projects, Alexis was a member of the design team for Hofstra University's New Academic Building, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Alexis is a member of the Acoustical Society of America's Technical Committee on Architectural Acoustics and the US Green Building Council's Indoor Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Group. A LEED(tm) Accredited Professional, she is recognized as a leader in the emerging field of Acoustics and Sustainability, promoting the interdependence of these two disciplines.
