Project Commissioning: After what is often years of planning, design and construction, the end of a project is apparently near and what remains is to have a close look, try it all out and make ready for turnover to the Users so it can begin its useful life. This session will look at common commissioning issues and strategies for success in the realms of what leads up to commissioning, what it ought to cover, specification intents vs. outcomes, scheduling, systems coordination, Client interface and calling it “done”. Panelists include veteran theatre machinery specialist Bob Murphy, who among a long list of experiences has inspected and commissioned the systems for dozens of major cruise ships for Owners and insurance companies. He will be joined by theatre consultant Adam Shalleck of The Shalleck Collaborative, and acoustics and sustainability specialist Alexis Kurtz of ARUP.
